“Safety first.” Our day begins with this greeting.
We position safety as the foundation of all our corporate activities and actively promote initiatives to prevent traffic accidents. Recognizing the impact that truck‑based transportation has on the global environment and local communities, we work to build a robust safety‑management system and continuously improve it to help eliminate traffic accidents.
To advance these efforts, we set clear objectives and targets for traffic‑accident prevention and regularly review them, ensuring that all employees are engaged in the ongoing pursuit of safer operations.
At ONE MISSION, under the belief that “we will eliminate all misfortune caused by accidents within the thinkrun Group”, we aim to become the world’s safest driving organization. We promote safe‑driving initiatives across the thinkrun Group and cultivate employees who think and act autonomously with regard to traffic safety.
All vehicles are equipped with high‑performance digital tachographs with drive‑recorder functionality. Each month, we analyze and distribute tachograph data for every driver, enabling tailored safe‑driving guidance and supporting improvements in driving skills. As a result, driver tachograph evaluation scores in 2025 have shown significant improvement.
To strengthen motivation for safe driving among the thinkrun Group’s more than 2,200 drivers and to help eliminate traffic accidents, we have established an annual award program recognizing drivers with zero accidents and zero violations.
In 2025, the award recipients included:
・7 drivers with 15 years accident‑ and violation‑free
・60 drivers with 10 years accident‑ and violation‑free
・119 drivers with 5 years accident‑ and violation‑free
・652 drivers with 5 years and 1 year accident‑ and violation‑free
A total of 838 outstanding drivers were recognized. Drivers with 15 years of accident‑free, violation‑free performance were invited to the Group Executive Headquarters meeting, where they were honored, praised, and thanked for their dedication.
In accordance with legal requirements, new employees receive training on truck characteristics and other essential safety topics. Before new employees begin driving independently, they undergo 15 hours of classroom instruction provided by ONE MISSION, along with 20 or more hours of in‑vehicle training conducted by on‑site supervisors.
Within the thinkrun Group, safety is always the top priority. As a symbol of this commitment, we are granted use of Seikō‑ji Temple on Mt. Tateshina in Nagano Prefecture, where we hold various safety‑related events throughout the year.
In keeping with our recognition that employee safety is the bedrock of our operations, we work to ensure employees’ health at work and to create a healthy, dynamic workplace environment. Our initiatives in this area are guided by the dual perspective of eliminating all unsafe behavior and removing all unsafe conditions.
To create safer workplaces and raise safety awareness, we conduct voluntary workplace safety inspections in April and May before the busy season and again in September after the busy season ends.
To smoothly promote and strengthen safety and health management activities, we hold a safety and health meeting every month. At these meetings we discuss and examine current issues and countermeasures to maintain and improve employee safety and health. Progress is made visible through back‑checks and outputs, and we operate a management system designed to ensure actions are actually implemented. At each workplace, safety is a standing topic in workplace meetings, where annual activities and measures requiring reinforcement are communicated and enforced.
Following revisions to the Industrial Safety and Health Regulations, we are promoting measures that include establishing organizational structures, defining treatment procedures, and ensuring awareness among relevant personnel; we also use the Ministry of the Environment’s app to support these efforts. In response to recent extreme heat, we have reinforced reminders about the 3S practices: meals, sleep, and hydration. From July through September, in addition to monthly beverage ticket distributions, we provide salted candies to strengthen employees’ heatstroke prevention.
In keeping with our recognition that employee safety is the bedrock of our operations, we work to ensure employees’ health at work and to create a healthy, dynamic workplace environment. In health management, we strive to maintain and improve not only physical, but also mental health.
We offer health checkups to all employees once a year, and we order additional tests and examinations for employees who require follow-up. By utilizing a health management system, we centralize employee health data, accurately monitor health checkup results, and facilitate specific health guidance and recommendations for re-examinations. Furthermore, since September 2024, we have appointed a Chief Industrial Physician within the thinkrun Group. When necessary, employees can receive consultations and guidance from the Chief Industrial Physician or statutory industrial physicians, strengthening our efforts to promote personalized health management initiatives.
We regularly communicate healthcare-related information once a week on an internal portal website and in our company newsletter, “T-Magazine”, in order to cultivate employees’ health awareness and to maintain and improve their health. By offering advice on lifestyle topics such as diet and sleep and introducing work-related considerations, we strive to foster employee health.
In keeping with our purpose of “Changing the Beverage Business Worldwide,” we aim to become a company that inspires pride and motivation on the part of its employees by promoting human resources development and utilization and by creating a safe, secure workplace environment.
To promote the appropriate management of working hours, we enforce strict time management practices. The department responsible for time management regularly provides workplace managers with individual work hour progress data and system-generated alerts. By offering tailored guidance to both workplaces and employees, we strive to standardize working hours and create more efficient use of time.
The thinkrun Group has identified investment in human capital as a key strategic pillar of its purpose. In line with this commitment, a new group company, LEADERS Co., Ltd., was established in April 2024, specializing in talent development. LEADERS focuses on enhancing operational quality and cultivating next-generation leaders as its core themes, providing education and training tailored to employees based on their job level and career background. In 2024, a total of 1,783 thinkrun Group employees participated in these programs. We will further develop talent capable of driving thinkrun Group’s vision to change the beverage business worldwide by leveraging digital tools and collaborating with external experts.
In keeping with our purpose of “Changing the Beverage Business Worldwide,” we aim to become a company that respects the human rights of all stakeholders and inspires pride and motivation on the part of its employees.
Two female employees served as facilitators for the internal training program, “TEAM OF TEAMS,” conducted as part of our next-generation leader development initiative. Preparing employees of departments whose primary responsibility is not training to serve as facilitators was a new experiment for the thinkrun Group, and it became an initiative that would lead to significant progress in gender equality. The preparation process, which takes about two years, allows employees to master a broad range of knowledge.
As part of our commitment to fostering future executives, we selected two female employees and sponsored their enrollment in a business school from October 2022 to September 2024. The program aimed to enhance their knowledge of management and organizational strategies while developing practical leadership skills. Additionally, another female employee participated in a business school-led training program, where she engaged in specialized lectures and group discussions with participants from other companies. Through this experience, she discovered her own approach to leadership. By equipping employees with advanced knowledge and opportunities for self-development, we are cultivating next-generation leaders.
The thinkrun Group is committed to creating a workplace environment where all employees can thrive, regardless of gender or life stage. As part of our efforts to further promote women’s empowerment, we hosted the “thinkrun Group Women’s Day 2024” in 2024. The event brought together approximately 50 female employees, along with executives and organizational leaders. The event featured sessions on DE&I initiatives and current trends in Japan and abroad, as well as group discussions and presentations by female employees on the theme: “What can the thinkrun Group do to further advance women's empowerment?”
Through these discussions, participants had the opportunity to reflect on their roles and responsibilities, fostering a sense of personal commitment to promoting women's advancement within the thinkrun Group.
To raise awareness and prevent workplace harassment, we utilize the company intranet to disseminate information on the definitions of power harassment and sexual harassment, their negative impacts, and preventive measures. Additionally, we display educational posters to promote a harassment-free work environment.
Recognizing that employing people with disabilities is an important part of our social responsibility, we offer work opportunities to people with disabilities, who comprised 2.5% of our workforce as of December 31, 2024.
